Henry probably accept Richard as who he is but I'm not sure about Anne tho. But i like Anne just because she's pure and earnest, she's a type of the woman i want to love but it's probably just an illusion of the real world.

Aww I feel bad for Richard and especially Anne, she won't realize why Richard's attitude towards her will change because her father wasn't careful enough and didn't understand her daughter's own feelings for Richard. They were getting along so well but now Richard has closed off his heart and it was nice to see that he felt so comfortable with her after being such a lonesome guy.

I feel bad for George to getting so obviously used like that by Warwick and his other daughter, he's definitely the most innocent of the three brothers and they're easily using that.

Duke of Buckingham was an interesting character lol, it's funny how bold and cheeky he is when he's so young. The way he took hold of Richard's chin lol.

Oh, don't depend so much on the war of roses knowledge, mate. Knowing what happens to both the history and the manga, I must say the plot takes very different turns that don't fit the history, for just manga/anime "moe" reasons. Even if the marriages and most of the deaths come with the same result, they do not get there in the same way. (for example a certain someone that originally died during bearth-giving in the manga dies in a different way, or someone that dies in history in the story is pretty much alive under a secret identity.)
So dry your historical tears, the possibilities are open. 🤣🤣🤣

Ahaha same here. So, to answer one question that I see everyone is worried about, Henry is alive and he will be around for the long go. Let's say he is one of those characters like AOT's Reiner. You can make a list of the times you think he died or is almost killed and yet he is still alive.
If you allow me, I will just give a short commentary to your comments that appear in the "chat". I won't elaborate much unless you ask me to.
So, I saw you laughed in the chin scene....this....is the start for some really big sh!t.
Let's say...everyone is focused in the "wrong Henry" right now. And this also combines to the long time skips of the show. They don't come smoothly, as you may noticed in the fact Elisabeth's belly got so big so fast.
Also, Richard being too quick to love...that's an understatement. I call this story a harem for a reason.
I believe Richard has so much self despise because of his intersex dysphoria that he gets attached to whoever shows him some care and acceptance. But this isn't real love. It's comfort and shows deep insecurity.
Also about the BL thing...let me tell you that the most intimacy he will have with men it will be as a woman, so...mph...hardly BL. (And about that with Anne I see it more like a yuri too as Anne will show some extra admiration to the female side of Richard in long term even without knowing his secret. She is even "shamed" as a lesbian at some point. We will see how this will go.) And while officially the gay couples weren't accepted back then, which will actually play a role to some dialogues, they were quite common and we know many royals with such affairs.
Some things go according to historical facts, some others don't. Marriages do for sure though.

I can pretty much discern my way through this show with the knowledge of the history of the war of roses. The most frustrating thing about this show and the war of roses is that nearly everyone has the same name. Which makes aligning characters to specific events more difficult.

Now, about the manga-anime, it differs from history except the part of who is married with whom.

Well to bad, as someone who has watched a documentary on the War of roses, this is gonna end badly for all parties.

Having also been reading the manga, I can tell that Anne is the best character in this story. Trust me. This doesn't even have to do with the Harem aspect of these series. But even when it comes to it, him and Anne have the most healthy and least frustrating relationship. I see now how everyone is all about Henry because BL, but...you have no idea who the real deal is...even if he made his appearance...a huge red flag was raised in this episode...and it's not who you may expect to be.

I don't understand why people categorized this as bl or such. It's become so muddled on the sexuality side & there's so much more drama to pay attention to ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ

I agree, this isn't where the focus should be...even so, in the story there is a whole horde of pale suitors for Richard that I don't know if I can blame people for seeing the BL part so much...
Personally I am more interested in the characters and plot development. And to be honest I find side characters's stories more interesting.

I am curious about one thing. Do they explain what type of intersex person Richard is? We know he has female breasts (even though he looks flat), but what about his genitals? He did not have breasts as a child, so his mother and others must have determined somehow that he is the "demon child".

That's a good question, which I had too in the beginning. While it isn't explained directly, we know Richard has both male and female genitalia. I won't reveal how we get to know that, to avoid manga spoilers, but even the safest from spoilers proof we have is that Richard is called demon child since birth and Richard's mother didn't let Richard bathe with his brothers. So we can tell it was not about breasts back then.
